When it comes to managing the money in your checking account, we know mistakes can happen. Citizens Bank offers an Overdraft Privilege Service. If your account qualifies for Overdraft Privilege, we will consider without obligation on our part paying items for which your account has insufficient or unavailable funds, instead of automatically returning those items unpaid.
Your checks will be honored, not returned, until your account overdraft exceeds set limit. Standard overdraft fees of $26.00 per item, which includes checks, debit/ATM transactions, internet transactions, pre-authorized debits or transfers. Bank Policy is the account balance is to have a positive balance during each statement cycle to remain in good standing. Accounts that remain overdraft for more than 30 consecutive days may be closed. Whether your overdrafts will be paid is discretionary and we reserve the right not to pay. Coverage is a service provided to you by Citizens Bank and may be discontinued at any time.
If you are opening a new account, you can choose Overdraft Privilege as an additional account option. If you are a current customer and would like to add Overdraft Privilege to your existing account, call or visit any of our branch locations and speak to one of our friendly bank representatives.
